Planar Mobile PPY
Keywords:
Planar Mobile PPY
Category:
Planar mobile automated parking systems employ highly efficient horizontal storage technology. Each parking level is equipped with a dedicated shuttle vehicle responsible for vehicle storage and retrieval on that level, while elevators handle the transportation of vehicles between different parking levels. Drivers simply park their vehicles on the parking platform, and the system safely parks the car in a three-dimensional parking space. Among all automated parking systems, planar mobile systems feature relatively fast shuttle speeds, require a minimum floor height of just 1,850 mm (excluding building dimensions), and are suitable for both above-ground and limited above-ground spaces, thereby reducing civil engineering costs.
The main methods used for planar mobile devices are: Comb-tooth type, clamp-type, roller-type, vehicle‑carrying plate type, and more.
Technical Specifications:
| Device Model | Planar Mobile PPY Type |

| Vehicle Weight (KG) | ≤2350 |
Operation Method: License plate recognition, facial recognition, touch screen sensing areas, and the operation screen all utilize Chinese LCD displays.
Equipment Advantages:
■ Multiple entrances and exits can be configured, allowing multiple vehicles to enter and exit simultaneously.
■ Utilizing lateral transfer technology, it supports re‑layout design, ensuring safe and smooth operation with simple, efficient movements that significantly reduce vehicle access and retrieval time.
■ By integrating commercial elements, space utilization can be maximized, with supporting facilities such as car washes, charging stations, supermarkets, and cafes, seamlessly blending safety with user‑friendly design.
Applicable Environment: Primarily suitable for urban and commercial center areas—regions with relatively limited space and minimal height restrictions—the product comes in various forms, including above ground, underground, semi‑above ground, and semi‑underground.
01 Comb‑tooth equipment
Operating Principle of the Comb‑tooth Equipment: The lift vertically raises and lowers vehicles from the entrance/exit to the parking level. At that level, the comb‑tooth carrier on the transfer cart travels at high speed along the track within the aisle to the lift opening. The comb‑tooth carrier or the storage/retrieval exchange mechanism on the transfer cart then transports the vehicle from the lift to the transfer cart. Next, the transfer cart, carrying both the comb‑tooth carrier and the vehicle, automatically runs at high speed to the front of the parking space, where the comb‑tooth carrier once again moves the vehicle into the designated parking spot.
Multi‑project, multi‑scenario applications with mature and highly reliable technology; fast and stable operation; the transporter is equipped with a built‑in centering mechanism, reducing its reliance on entrance and exit structures. It is compatible with vehicle wheelbases ranging from 1,800 to 3,250 mm, features a compact transporter design that places minimal demands on the project environment, and allows for an error margin of ≤5 mm. The transporter can achieve a travel speed of up to 60 m/min.

02 Clamp-Type Device
Operating Principle of the Clamp‑Type System: The lift vertically raises and lowers vehicles from the entrance/exit to the parking level. Once there, the shuttle vehicle’s clamp‑type carrier travels at high speed along the track within the aisle to the lift opening. The clamp‑type carrier on the shuttle vehicle—or the storage/retrieval exchange mechanism—transports the vehicle from the lift to the shuttle vehicle. The shuttle vehicle then carries the clamp‑type carrier and the vehicle, automatically moving at high speed to the front of the parking space, where the clamp‑type carrier once again transfers the vehicle into the designated parking spot.
The carrier is lightweight and features a slim design; compared to comb‑tooth carriers, it requires 100 mm less vehicle clearance height, significantly reducing building height and saving costs. It boasts a wide range of applications, suitable for transporting vehicles with wheelbases ranging from 2200 to 3300 mm, and can achieve a travel speed of up to 60 m/min. The carrier’s vehicle‑grabbing method involves clamping the tires from both front and rear, causing no damage to the tires.

03 Roller-Type Equipment
Operating principle of roller‑type equipment: The lift performs vertical lifting and lowering movements to transport vehicles from the entrance/exit. The transfer cart then travels at high speed along the track within the aisle to the lift’s opening, where a roller‑exchange mechanism on the transfer cart transfers the vehicle from the lift onto the transfer cart. The transfer cart then carries the vehicle and automatically moves at high speed to the front of the parking space, where another roller‑exchange mechanism transfers the vehicle into the designated parking spot.
Vehicles are transferred from the lift to a transfer cart or parked directly on the cart, reducing vehicle transfer time. The parking space layout is highly flexible, enabling narrow and elongated configurations that cannot be achieved with other types of parking garages. The conveying equipment operating between the rollers generates extremely low noise levels.

04 Clamp-Type Device
Operating Principle of Car‑Carrier Equipment: Vehicles are parked directly on the car‑carrier platform at the entrance/exit. The lift then performs vertical lifting and lowering movements to transport the vehicles from the entrance/exit. The transfer cart travels at high speed along the rail system within the aisle to the lift opening, where a transfer mechanism moves the car‑carrier platform and the vehicle onto the transfer cart. The transfer cart then carries the car‑carrier platform and vehicle, automatically running at high speed to the front of the parking space, where another transfer mechanism moves the car‑carrier platform and vehicle into the designated parking spot. Finally, the transfer cart transports an empty car‑carrier platform back to the entrance/exit.
Vehicles are parked directly on the vehicle carrier, with positioning based on vehicle length detection. Parking is convenient and fast; as long as space permits, vehicles of any wheelbase can be parked. The vehicle carrier can be equipped with charging interfaces to address issues such as parking and charging electric vehicles.
